Our Origins

Soaring Supersaurus started life as circus-theatre company known as Flying Diplodocus, our aim was to create work around societal issues and research how we can choreograph circus relevant to issues and individuals. Over time we realised that this was not enough and expanded what we were asking ourselves to do.
Soaring Supersaurus is the development of this notion. An arts and sustainability company, based in a community where we recycle plastic for both environmental and financial stability, from this we can work in our community using profits to provide arts and sustainability activities, while also making work that speaks of societal need. We want to see if we can create a company that works in a different way, striving for inclusive practice that goes beyond the required, learning from existing best practice and challenging the way things are normally done.
We have a base in Penrhys at the former Buffs social club, over the next few years we will develop this site into a centre for arts, sustainability, community and research.
On this site you can buy our products, find out about events we have coming up and some additional company information. We are launching the site with some basiscs and from there finding out what works for us and the people who interact with us, so please feel free to drop us a message.
We are also looking for new ways of gathering plastic across northern Rhondda Cynon Taff so if you would like to donate your used plastic drop us a line.
